The Gospel and Personal Evangelism

Mark Dever has a new book on Evangelism. If I had to use one word to describe it, it would be: Motivating.

At the risk of looking ignorant:
Can someone please explain to me what the cover is supposed to mean? Who is that pointing and what is he pointing at?

    It is John the Baptist pointing to Jesus. In the painting, the words just above his arm reads, "he must increase, but I must decrease."

    I could tell that he was pointing at the cross but was unsure whether this was two paintings put together or what.

    I need be more familiar with art.
