Over the past few weeks, I've preached through the first half of Mark 7. I've never realized how foundation this passage is for the Christian life. In Mark 7:14-23, Jesus clearly teaches on the source of our defilement before God. Defilement does not come from outside of us. It comes from within. We are deeply stained and in need of radical cleansing.
