I am preparing today to address my students on Sunday morning. These students have been through a lot these past 3 weeks. Because of Rita, all of them have been displaced from their homes and have had to stay in hotels or with family and friends. They have seen their city destroyed and many of them have had their homes destroyed.
How do I offer hope to them? How do I convince them that God is worthy of their trust in these difficult times? Well, I'm going to remind them of God's good promises. Particularly, God's promise in Romans 8:28.
My prayer is that they will lean on this promise during this difficult time. I hope they will be sustained with the confidence that God is going to work these things for their good. Pray for me.
