In Christ Alone

One of my favoirte songs is quickly becoming "In Christ Alone." You can see all the words here. My favorite part is:

No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
‘Til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

If you have never heard the song, you should do some searching to listen to it. It is a powerful proclamation of the gospel.

We sing that song in our worship services! I love that song also! But I find myself so overwhelmed every time I try to sing it....I am just so thankful for the cross! It is bc of that song that I started signing all of my emails and notes:

In Christ alone,

Sarah

I read this post this morning... then on the way back from lunch I was listening to our new Chritian Radio station in Austin thinking of the words and wishing they would play it.

Then Word of God Speak (Mercy Me) came on and just brought me to a sweet place...

The lyrics:

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say

[CHORUS]
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak

I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice

[REPEAT CHORUS 2x]

I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay

Thanks for helping me get to a place of worship through mentioning Christ Alone this morning!
