10 Questions for Evangelism

Christ Baptist has started a study on Evangelism for Sunday nights through the summer. Last night, I led a discussion with 10 questions to try and lay a foundation for the rest of the study.  Here are the 10 questions:

What comes to mind when you think about evangelism? What do you think are some of the misconceptions about evangelism?
What is evangelism? Evangelism is telling others about Jesus Christ and how they can have an eternal relationship with Him.
Who should evangelize? Every follower of Jesus.
Why should we evangelize? Biblical motivations.
What is the goal of evangelism? Faithfulness not results ultimately.
What is our confidence in evangelism? The power of the gospel (Rom. 1:16).
What temptations do we face in evangelism? Things like altering the message to make it less offensive.
What are the most common obstacles to evangelism? My most common: Fear of man.
How can we grow as evangelists? Things like studying the gospel and thinking more about eternity.
How do we go about doing evangelism? That's what the rest of the study is going to be about.
