42 years ago today and 500 years from now

On November 22, 1963, C.S. Lewis died in his home in Oxford, England. His death was overshadowed by the assassination of president Kennedy.

It is amazing how things change in 42 years. Kennedy is only remembered because he was a president. Lewis' books and ideas are still being used of God to change hearts and lives. And, I look 500 years down the road. Who will be most remembered in 500 years? I would guess that Lewis' books will be classics and still be as popular as they are now.

Let us all live not to be admired 5 days after our death. Let us live so that the effect of our lives will be that God is admired 500 years from now.
