Effulgence?

I'm reading Charles Bridges' The Christian Ministry right now. Here is how he starts the book:

"The Church is the mirror, that reflects the whole effulgence of the Divine character. It is the grand scene, in which the perfections of Jehovah are displayed to the universe."

Effulgence = beauty, radiance

I could not agree more with this statement. This is why I get up in the morning. This is why I exist. I am made to serve the Church. God desires to be known. He will be known through His Church.
