If you could just choose one of these Piper books to read and meditate on which one would you choose? Why?

Man, that is too tough of a question. I would hate to only have access to one of them.

However, it would have to be Desiring God.

In other words, take Desiring God first and then Pleasures of God and then Future Grace.

Take any of these three before Lucado, Warren, and a thousand other here-today-and-gone-tomorrow-books.

How about Olsteen, Maxwell, or LaHaye?

It's too bad the American church knows so little about Edwards, Owen, Spurgeon, or even Packer. Maybe a revival is on the way...

I would choose "The Pleasures of God" because it gives such a tremendously huge vision of the God-centeredness of reality (the basis of the other two Piper books). It expands my heart, mind, and spirit every time I read it -- and I've read it about 3-4 times and still haven't grasped it all!
