I've been closely monitoring the Southern Baptist Convention this week in NC. When I could, I watched the live web feed. One resolution that I was hoping would get heard and embraced was Tom Ascol's. I tuned in today and got to see Ascol graciously read his recommendation. It failed.
My opinion: More than just the resolution failed. The messengers failed.
My prediction: In the next 5-10 years, this resolution will be heard, debated, and passed. I'm not a prophet, just an optimist.
