Reminds me of the end of a hymn by Newton's friend, William Cowper:
To see the Law by Christ fulfilled, And hear His pardoning voice; Changes a slave into a child, And duty into choice.
Its not that the duty is lifted, its just that the duty becomes a delight. If we truly believe that Christ is smarter than us, wiser than us, and cares for us more than we care for ourselves, then it becomes our joy to obey His commands. They're a gift for our good.
