A few weeks ago, I posted a portion of a post from Challies' blog regarding preparing for gathering with God's people on Sunday.
You can read the entire post here.
The post is so helpful, I included it into our monthly church newsletter.
I'm convinced the suggestions given in that post would go a long way in strengthening our churches. I think most people just show up on Sunday having given no thought to their responsibility to prepare for the meeting.
So, what do you do to prepare for Sunday? Any suggestions you would add?

i'm kind of torn on this issue; on the one hand, i agree that christians should see sunday as holy and special day where we gather with believers. yet i also have come to think that we should think the same likewise about every day. we should have contact with fellow members during the week. we should be about the Lord's business daily. sunday should spill over into monday-saturday. if that's the case, we shouldn't have much to do to prepare for sundays. it's just the day where we meet in one place for a bit. i don't know, just some thoughts! good issue for discussion
