Here is some of what has caught my eye over the past few days:
1. Justin Nale is doing his best Rush Limbaugh impersonation and has an excellent post titled, "I Want the SBC to Fail."
2. Thanks for voting for my blog over at the 2009 Blog Madness. I'm grateful that my blog is currently more popular than Beth Moore's (although there is still plenty of time left). If you are on facebook or twitter, or have a blog of your own, consider asking your friends to vote for CROSS-eyed. Some of you have so many friends that you could get me into the sweet 16 in no time!
3. I read the entire new 9 Marks e-journal within an hour of it landing in my inbox. Wise advice.
4. I'm absolutely thrilled with Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross. I'm reading a chapter each day leading up to Good Friday and Easter. I cannot wait to get up in the morning to read another chapter. Last night, I found myself peaking ahead at the next chapter. If you give this book a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Meditations on God, His Word, and His World (under the grace found only because of Christ Crucified)

The Mailman
A few noteable happenings:
1. My best-friend, Rob, has graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastor's College.
2. I'm a lover of books. But Tony challenges me.
3. My beautiful wife is meditating on "joy" in the Psalms.
4. My new friend, Jason, is pondering corporate worship.
5. You can pre-order the ESV Study Bible and serve the Pastor's College at the same time.
6. Thabiti's What is a Healthy Church Member? will be out in a matter of days. Prediction: This will be a good and helpful book.

The Mailman
Here are some snacks for your soul today:
1. Have I ever told you how thankful I am for CJ Mahaney? CJ's latest post is profound, practical, penetrating, and precious.

- If you are a preacher/teacher, print CJs post out and take a serious evaluation of your past sermons/lessons.
- If you are a member of a church where the Savior is not central in the sermons, print this post out and humbly give this to your pastor(s) (along with a personal note of encouragement and assurance that your desire is that Christ would be more clear on Sunday morning).
- If you are a member of a church where there is a sighting of Calvary every Sunday, take some time to thank God for His kindness to you, and take some time to thank your pastor(s) for his love for you (evidenced by his preaching the gospel to you).
- If you are looking for a church, don't settle for a church where Christ and Him crucified are not proclaimed every Sunday (unless there are no churches in your area doing this - at which point I would encourage you to move).
2. Greg Gilbert is "Against Music."
3. If you didn't get a chance to read my post on "4 Ways To Study The Bible," I hope you will.
4. Spurgeon's classic devotionals are now in the ESV.
5. Sam Storms' new book on Colossians is now available at his website. He will be brining copies to the conference next weekend.

The Mailman
Allow me to be the mailman and deliver some mail to you. Here are blog posts and other resources worth taking note of:
1. CJ Mahaney now has a blog: CJ's view from the cheap seats.
2. Sovereign Grace Ministries is following the lead of Desiring God and offering some of their resources for dirt cheap. Starting Feb. 1, you can get their music cds for $6 and their Pursuit of Godliness books for $5 (and Free Shipping).
3. Here is a list of Steve Lawson resources. I love the preaching of Dr. Lawson!
4. Justin Nale writes about being a Calvinist and wholeheartedly believing John 3:16.
5. Al Mohler finally has his own book coming out. Dr. Mohler writes more than anyone who has never published his own book.
