So what exaclty does God think about arrogance? Could be state it a bit more matter of fact?

It is a terrible thing to rob God of His glory by pointing to your resources and strength.

Yes it is. Several times this year God has brought to mind, "The Lord detests haughty eyes".

It seems rather random of you to simply post a verse without comment. I can't help but think that there is a specific situation in which the Lord is using this verse in your life. I will be praying for you.

"R", yes, my battle against pride is ongoing. Do pray for me.
This verse does not need comment. It is very clear. And challenging.
I learned the art of posting a verse without comment from my friend Rob (although he usually includes a picture also).

Rob, what kind of picture would you have tried to find to emphasize this verse?

I would probably look for a picture of me preaching my first sermon.

Or, I would get a picture of a small creature that is standing up to something about to eat it.
