Here is an excerpt from last Sunday's sermon:
Observe the sovereign grace of God in saving and commissioning the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1:15-16:
Four actions of God for Paul:
1. God set Paul apart before he was born.
2. God called Paul by His grace.
3. God revealed His Son to Paul.
4. God commissioned Paul to preach Christ among the Gentiles.
We learn from the rest of the New Testament that God does these things for every believer. He elects us before we do anything good or bad, He sovereignly calls us to Himself, He reveals the irresistible beauty of Christ to us, and He commissions us to preach Christ.

As I prepare to head out for summer camps and a mission trip, this is a wonderful encouragement to me. It builds my hope in God's character and ability to act for His glory this summer.
