Steven Curtis Chapman's 5 year old daughter was struck by a car yesterday at her home and died. You can see some of the details here.

Please join me in praying that God would give Steven and his family strength and that this would give them a larger platform to share the gospel.

I just recently heard his new song "Cinderella" and it has really had an impact on me to take in each and every moment that I have with Naomi- because one day she will be grown up and married (Lord willing).
But this news has just reminded me that we are never promised a lifetime with our kids. I could have years or months or days. And it really makes me think that with the time that I do have- what will I teach her, how will I impact her? And how can I take in each moment and treasure it- even on days where it seems like all we do is get spankings?
I am so broken hearted for this family. Its amazing how the unity of Christ does make us "bear one another's burdens". But at the same time realizing that they have a unique opportunity to show to the onlooking world what true peace is- and that it only comes from knowing Christ.
