James is a book that has a lot of good commentaries.

The Best: Douglas Moo's Pillar Commentary

Very Good:

-Motyer's Bible Speaks Today Commentary

-Doriani's Reformed Expository Commentary

-Blomberg's Exegetical Commentary

-Hiebert's Commentary

OK, but not the best:

-Martin's Word Biblical Commentary

-Adamson's NICNT

-Davids' NIGTC

OK Homiletical Commentaries:

John MacArthur

Anthony Selvaggio
