The Gospel: a review

Wow! I just had one of the greatest weekends of my life. It was great because I got to hear the gospel all weekend long proclaimed, sung, discussed, and believed.

My friend Rob brought the Word. Here is the summary of the weekend from Rob's Saturday night message on Galatians 3:13-14:

1. Something take from us (God's wrath)
2. Something given to us (Christ's righteousness)
3. So that we may have something great (namely, God Himself)

We emphasized these points all weekend long. The gospel is the good news that because of Christ, God removes His wrath from us and gives us Christ's righteousness in order to give us Himself.

I prayed. Sounds like God answered.

That was one of the most moving services I have ever been to. Thank you for the privilege and honor of allowing me to be a part of it. It has been a blessing to see how God has grown you and your ministry in the past 8 years. I was incredibly proud of you last night. That kind of sounds weird to say, but it's how I felt. I am proud to call you friend and brother in Christ.

Justin,

Excellent things! I am grateful your weekend made much of God. I was privileged to see Him work in the lives of students this weekend as well. He began a movement of prayer in this group that started in the Jr. High boys, which certainly testifies to His abilities. Praise the Lord.

I wish we had the others.
