Wise Counsel

"When we are unjustly wounded by men, let us overlook their wickedness, remember to mount up on God, and learn to believe for certain that whatever our enemy has wickedly committed against us was permitted and sent by God's just dispensation."

-John Calvin, Institutes, p. 221

i listened to jonah. it amazes me that God didnt just leave jonah alone and let him run. in his grace he still used jonah in mighty ways even when his heart was unwilling. praise God he pursues us and remains faithful even when we are unfaithful.

And, let us also remember that the sin will be paid for (either on the cross or in hell). The Judge of the Universe will do right. All accounts will be settled. Praise God for His righteousness!

Very good quote. Though often times it is thought differently, knowing He is absolutely sovereign Lord is very encouraging and humbling.
