Whatcha Listen' To?

If you were to break into my car anytime over the past year and hit the eject button on my cd player, there is a 95% chance that out would pop a sermon cd from one of theses preachers:

1. John Piper
2. Art Azurdia
3. Mike Bullmore
4. Steve Lawson

These guys would be at the top of my list of best expositors. I like to listen to other preachers who feed my soul (Mahaney, Conference sermons, etc.) while mowing the lawn or riding the exersize bike.

The God of The Resurrection

Monergism has a great audio sermon library online. They are working on making it even better. If you are looking for a good place to find expository sermons, I know of no better place.

I am humbled that my sermon from Easter Sunday is there. If you listened to the sermon Sunday, you can even go to this page and "rate" it. So, if you thought it was a horrible sermon, you may want to give it a "1" so that others will know not to listen to it!

A few weeks ago, I had the privilage of participating in an interview about church planting. In it, Dwayne Millioni (Pastor of Open Door Baptist Church), Jonathan Brooks (Associate Pastor of Christ Baptist), and I talk about the importance of churches planting churches.

Jerry Bridges on Enduring to the End

I listened to Jerry Bridges' message at the DG National Conference. It is a fantastic message on standing firm until the end. It is well worth listening to and passing on to others. In it, he gives 4 essentials to perseverance in the Christian life (here they are in my own words):

1. Commune with God daily.

2. Appropriate the gospel daily.

3. Consecrate yourself to God daily.

4. Believe in the sovereignty and love of God.

Of course, he makes the point that all these are dependent on the grace of God.
